Inventory Specialist

As an Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the inventory performance for the assigned manufactured plants / distribution locations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve inventory health, as well as reduce obsolescence risks and physical losses. You will provide analytical insights on inventory performance opportunities in your area of responsibility. At dsm-firmenich, being a force for good is not optional. Equal access to opportunities is a given, belonging is a shared feeling, authenticity is celebrated. **Your key responsibilities** + Manage the inventory for Taste EUR plants / locations assigned with focus on mitigating and / or depleting nonvalue added inventory and increasing inventory quality ratio. + Lead Inventory Losses/provision process and actions with local teams (Purchasing, Production, Quality, Operations, and Commercial), propose initiatives to reduce losses and track their effectiveness. + Identify and analyse the root causes of inventory losses, propose, execute and effectively follow up on cross-functional action plans. + Review planning parameters to identify opportunities to reduce inventory-related losses. + Collaborate with materials and capacity planning teams on inventory monitoring routines to proactively identify and mitigate overstocks and shortages over next 6 months horizon. + Prepare and issue inventory reports and ad hoc analysis for inventory related matters. **We bring** + A rich history and a promising future of bold scientific innovation and passionate creation with our customers; + A culture that prioritizes safety and well-being, both physically and mentally; + The opportunity to work for a company where sustainability is much more than a claim and is core to our strategy and purpose; + A flexible work environment that empowers people to take accountability for their work and own the outcome; + A firm belief that working together with our customers is the key to achieving great things; + An eagerness to be one team and learn from each other to bring progress to life and create a better future; **You bring** + University degree or equivalent in in Engineer, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Economics + 2-3 years of experience in supply chain, planning and / or inventory management + Collaborative team player, action-oriented and results-driven. + Analytical acumen, able to translate detailed and transactions into a big picture. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power qry / Power Bi / BW is a plus. + ERP Software experience (SAP ECC; SAP APO or equivalent) + Advance Planning Solutions experience is a plus (Kinaxis). + Financial / accounting basics is a plus.
