GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Receives inventories, rotates, and stores all perishable and non perishable food products according to product specifications; manages invoices for these items; and maintains an environmentally safe storage area for them.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for meeting vendors, inspecting deliveries, and acquiring all invoices for anything deliveredResponsible for taking internal temperatures of deliveries as they are brought into SVHS to ensure proper temperature upon delivery in accordance with HAACP standards.Transfers, rotates, and stocks all food and food supplies on a daily basis .Responsible for any alterations in food products received and follows through with appropriate credit.Maintains daily invoices and forecasting records. Submits materials as need to Administrative Assistant and Director.Purchases all food for Food and Nutrition Department and builds internal orders for other departments, as needed.Carries out general food service as assigned, practicing specific food safety protocols. Wears gloves when in direct contact with food.  Physically takes and records temperatures to insure food is not in the danger zone of 41 degrees F to 145 degrees F.  Washes hands according to policy before reporting to work, after a restroom visit, and/or after touching objects or self while engaging in food production, set up, or serving. Rotates food supplies according to expiration dates, and disposes those that are out-dated. Keeps work area clean, free of any visible soil, and sanitizes the area after each use Performs other duties as assigned.Responsible for purchasing order requests through the procurement company, Coupa. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
