The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Hiring Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Cambridge, MA 02139

Schedule: 7:30AM to 4PM (Monday - Friday)

Pay rate: $25.10/hr.

What we’re looking for

·         Education: A high school diploma or GED is required

·         Experience: Minimum 1 year of material handling/inventory replenishment is required

·         Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred.

Required Qualifications:

Digital literacy, including Microsoft Office, with proficiency in Word and Excel.

Solid understanding and experience in shipping, inventory, or purchasing.

Excellent Customer Service Skills: displays a professional can-do attitude

Must be able to lift 50Lbs.

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

Place orders to restock lab supplies and enter them into the computer system.

Receive shipments from UPS, FedEx, and other delivery services, and address any shipping mistakes.

Manage customer inventory, including delivering product restocks.

Handle inventory tasks like tracking slow-moving or outdated stock, counting items regularly, and doing yearly stock checks.

Coordinate shipping activities, answer customer calls, and solve routine problems.

Use computer systems like Avantor and customer systems for work tasks.

Meet safety, performance, and quality goals.

Handle hazardous materials and prepare necessary shipping paperwork and packaging.

Perform basic tasks in the lab and stockroom.

Complete any other tasks as assigned.
