Responsibilities

Must be/become certified to conduct Abuse/Neglect investigations by the NYS Justice Center.

Complete investigations; inclusive of interviewing program staff and service recipients. Collection and review of relevant documentation, to then determine investigative findings. 

Document investigative findings consistent with OPWDD regulations. 

Travel to all agency sites across NYC's five boroughs and in Westchester, Rockland, and Orange counties (as needed).

Participate in trainings provided by OPWDD/Justice Center related to Incident Management (as determined)

Participate in the Incident Review Committee (based on availability) for the Developmental Disability Services Division

 

 

Qualifications Demonstrated strong commitment to safety.

Experience in investigations and/or Social Services, particularly Developmental Disabilities strongly preferred

Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Teams, Zoom
