Investment Banking Analyst
Description We are seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join our team in the financial services industry, located in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately recording and tracking investment transactions, preparing valuations, and ensuring compliance with document retention policies. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Accurately record and track direct investment transactions • Maintain and update the investment tracking database • Prepare and reconcile valuations of both public and private direct investments • Ensure compliance with document retention policies and procedures related to direct investments • Collaborate with other groups to obtain investment-related information • Work closely with auditors on all aspects of direct investment reporting • Analyze performance of direct investments at both the individual fund and portfolio level • Prepare and maintain various direct investment track records used in fundraising and marketing • Resolve customer inquiries related to investment accounts • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Skills: • Proficiency in Bloomberg Terminal, CapEx, Capital IQ, CRM, and Data Mining Techniques • Knowledge of Buying Processes, Capital Management, Credit, Debt Financing, and Due Diligence • Experience handling Investment Accounts. Requirements • Candidate must possess a strong understanding of financial services, particularly in the field of investment banking. • Proficiency in using Bloomberg Terminal and Capital IQ is required. • Familiarity with CapEx, CRM, and data mining techniques is essential. • Experience or knowledge in buying processes and capital management is expected. • Understanding of credit, debt financing, and due diligence processes is crucial. • Ability to manage investment accounts efficiently and effectively. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines. • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred. • Prior experience in a similar role within the financial industry would be a plus. • Must adhere to detail oriented standards and maintain a high level of confidentiality in all duties. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
