Job Summary:
As an Investment Banking Professional within the Debt Capital Markets team, you will work directly with issuers and borrowers, including corporations and private equity sponsors, to advise on debt financing strategies. You will leverage your strong relationships with corporate and private equity sponsor clients, as well as investors and lenders, to execute deals across our banking products. Your role will involve collaborating with industry bankers and origination colleagues to provide financing guidance and underwriting parameters.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide financing guidance and underwriting parameters to industry bankers, origination colleagues, and issuers/borrowers. Establish detailed views on bank and institutional investor liquidity ahead of underwriting opportunities. Prepare syndication strategies with clear views on structuring, processes, and relevant timetables. Work with Debt Capital Markets, Infrastructure Finance Advisory, Leveraged Finance, Corporate Banking, and Sponsor Coverage to share market trends and lender/investor sentiment. Maintain and update a comparables database for Investment Grade Financings. Develop deep, long-term relationships with banks across the market. Attend industry events and stay informed about the latest lender/investor trends and key market themes. Present and champion underwriting and other financing opportunities to senior leaders across the investment bank. Identify and manage all risks in each deal up to and until successful final placement.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Relevant experience at VP/Senior Associate level in Loan Syndicate, Capital Markets, or Debt Capital Markets. Strong analytical and numeracy skills with a high level of attention to detail. Exceptionally strong interpersonal skills with established bank relationships within the loan market. Ability to interact with clients and colleagues in a professional and mature manner. Knowledge of the local regulatory environment and the bank lending universe. Commitment to a strong teamwork environment. Excellent project management and organizational skills with detail orientation. Ability to react well to pressure while multitasking on numerous projects. Initiative to take responsibility for tasks and drive them to completion. Proficiency in MS Office applications and knowledge of investment banking databases (e.g., Bloomberg, DebtDomain).Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Written and spoken foreign language skills are welcomed. Strong understanding of investment banking products.
