Investment Banking Vice President, Insurance

The Insurance Investment Banking Team, within Wells Fargo’s CIB Financial Institutions Group, is seeking a talented and experienced Vice President to join and grow one of the industry’s leading insurance investment banking practices. In this role, you will: + Support the insurance investment banking coverage group, product partners and the broader Wells Fargo team as we grow our business. + Generate creative strategic and financing ideas for insurance clients. + Execute advisory and capital markets transactions on behalf of our clients and Wells Fargo. + Drive development of our junior team members. **Required Qualifications:** + 5+ years of Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education **Desired Qualifications:** + 3+ years of financial services experience in investment banking demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education + Experience within the insurance space is strongly preferred as well as experience working with life & annuity companies + Strong quantitative background with experience analyzing actuarial appraisals + Understanding of U.S. GAAP and U.S. Statutory accounting frameworks for clients located in US as well as other accounting frameworks for offshore jurisdictions (Bermuda, Cayman’s, etc.) + Familiarity with various reinsurance solutions used to enhance value in transactions + Ability to prepare and diligence a transaction model, incorporating actuarial and deal specific terms to illustrate transaction structure to investors + Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills + Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment + Strong organizational and prioritization skills and an ability to effectively multi-task + Motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills + An ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver results **Job Expectations:** + Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted + Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted + Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
