The Opportunity
Investment Management (IM) is looking for a highly motivated and engaged Investment Consultant. They must be task-driven and detailed oriented while having clear and concise written and verbal communication skills with the ability to orchestrate multiple simultaneous initiatives which will require excellent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills. Other duties include SharePoint development and maintenance, employee and contractor onboarding and offboarding, and supporting BAU project needs. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable taking on complex tasks and enjoys working in partnership with others both on our team and across the enterprise. This position is based in Springfield, Boston, or New York with a hybrid schedule.
The Team
The Planning and Enablement team is part of the Investment Management (IM) Strategy and Governance Organization and is responsible for third party supplier management, financial planning and analysis, BAU project coordination, strategic communications, and the employee onboarding experience. The Strategy and Governance team drives IM’s strategy forward, optimizing governance and decision-making processes, analyzes, and establishes common metrics, processes, and tools and supports key internal and external stakeholders in progressing the IM target operating model. The team is also responsible for coordinating the department’s strategic initiatives, Investment Compliance, Investment Due-Diligence and Investment Data Strategy and Governance.
The Impact
Serve as the division’s Unit Information Consultant, managing information storage across the division with the support of identified sub coordinatorsSharePoint development and maintenance for the Investment Management PortalSupport preparation of presentation materials to communicate the team’s overall progress to achieve its goals and escalate any risks, issues and/or decisions where appropriateSupport the onboarding and off-boarding activities of employees and contingent resourcesAssists with employee engagement, team building, event planning and other organizational functions as neededAssist with oversight and coordinating of BAU project status, budgets (actuals, plan and forecast), milestones and risks, actions, issues, decisions (RAID) logsPrepare and support BAU project artifact preparation and maintenanceHandles small project tasks and coordinates or performs activities as neededTroubleshoot issues with process, tools and/or reportingThe Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience2+ years of related experience as an investment consultant, project coordinator or similar roleThe Ideal Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree3+ years of work experience as an experience as an investment consultant, project coordinator or similar roles, preferably in an investment management businessCan-do, positive attitude and comfortable working with senior, executive and external stakeholdersTeam Player/Relationship Building: Collaborative with strong interpersonal skills; able to relate to and build strong relationships with diverse internal and external audiences; leverages the ability to deliver effectivelyInnovation: Continually looks within and beyond their job, anticipating business needs and opportunities.Expert knowledge and comfort working with advanced versions of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Working knowledge of Smartsheet, Resource Management, Clarity and Microsoft ProjectStrong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively using verbal and written methods to all levels within the organizationHigh-level of attention to detail and time management, with a strong understanding of the importance of being responsive and proactive in a deadline driven environmentCollaborative approach, demonstrates openness and provides assistance as urgent situations and ad hoc needs arisePrevious experience working in a financial services/insurance organizationWhat to Expect as Part of MassMutual and the Team:

Salary Range: $86,200.00-$113,100.00
