Investment Management Internship, Summer 2025 Overview In this 10 week summer internship you will work in our front office Investment Management Team, at the heart of our efforts to achieve great investment outcomes for our clients. This internship will provide a tremendous learning opportunity to get close to the equity and fixed income markets and develop a foundational understanding of all stages of the investment process. You will have an opportunity to learn from colleagues across our Portfolio Management, Trading, Investment Risk/Research and ETF Capital Markets Teams. Applicants must be smart, curious, and highly motivated self-starters, who demonstrate a passion for the asset management industry and Vanguard’s mission to improve outcomes for all investors. Assessment for the role will include an online psychometric test followed by a skills assessment and two rounds of interviews. The Internships will start in June 2025 and run for 10 weeks, with successful interns given the opportunity to apply for permanent roles in 2026. Once you have applied, the next stage of the process will begin on 24th February 2025, at which point all applicants will receive an email with details regarding the psychometric assessment. About the opportunity Through the internship you will be given the following learning and development opportunities: + Build an overview of the financial markets and investing + Understand how to interpret the data that forms the background to trading and portfolio management + Learn how to undertake investment research, with the potential to focus on strategic and macro research as well as micro credit research resulting in investment decisions + Develop an understanding of the ETF market and landscape + Experience portfolio management and trading through interaction with the equity and/or fixed income active and passive teams + Software used throughout the working day and on ad hoc projects includes Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Power BI), Tableau, and trading and portfolio management systems What it takes: + Applicants should be penultimate year undergraduate or graduate students + A stellar intellectual profile; we will assess for abstract and numerical reasoning skills + First rate communication skills, great judgement and resilience + Attention to detail with strong organisational, interpersonal and relationship management skills + Our organisational values are Care, Inclusion, Integrity and Tenacity.
