The Opportunity

As an Investment Operations Consultant  in our Investment Operations organization, you will be responsible for identifying business requirements in preparation of the on-boarding of new investments. You will collaborate with counterparts across Accounting, Policy, Legal, Compliance, Reporting, and Operations to ensure requirements are clearly understood and documented. You will be responsible for monitoring the on-going transactional data and information flow of the investments post-close to ensure that required data and transactions are provided timely, accurately and are aligned to our Investment Manager’s records.

The Team

The Investment Operations team supports the on-boarding administration of our direct General Account investments. The portfolio is unique and complex and offers candidates exposure to various investment teams and asset classes. The team is agile and works independently, yet collaboratively. All members are held accountable and are encouraged to grow in the role via education and industry participation. To be successful on this team, you must have a strong diligence, be able to multi-task, thrive in a fast-paced work environment, have strong interpersonal skills and have a continuous improvement mindset.

The Impact

The primary responsibility of the Investment Operations Consultant will be to learn the unique structure of each transaction, leverage financial and accounting acumen to determine and share requirements with cross-functional business partners, and present them to the manager or sponsor of the investment. This role will be accountable for partnering with the manager or sponsor to ensure requirements are met and will be responsible for the escalation of any gaps, which may impact closing, on-going transactional activity, reconciliations, compliance monitoring and oversight. In addition, this role will partner with external service providers in understanding complex investment structures while ensuring that we minimize operational risk and optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness.

The Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree8+ years of relevant investment, investment operations/support experience

The Ideal Qualifications

Prior experience with investing or servicing private equity, private real estate, or private credit or lending documentsStrong computer skills including experience with financial applicationsPartners with portfolio managers, other operations team members, legal professionals, and service providers in support of our investment programsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to work in a fast paced, team environment and with outside constituents with tight deadlines and high expectations for our programProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word), VBA and Visio experience a plusAbility to communicate across all levels of the organization, comfortable interacting with vendors, business partners, external managers investment management and TechnologyAbility to work across multiple priorities with limited guidanceAbility to independently explore solutions to a problem and adapt quickly to changesCollaboration skills and the ability to work in a team-based environment Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related areaKnowledge of Eagle PACE or like Data Management ToolKnowledge of Eagle STAR or like Investment Accounting platformNatural curiosity, love of learning, calm under pressure in the face of multiple urgent priorities, relish the challenge of solving puzzles and intellectual challenges and be comfortable with the ambiguity presented by new situations.

Salary Range: $113,100.00-$148,400.00
