Position Summary:

The Investment Operations Director is responsible for the supervision of  teams that is responsible for processing all transactions related to the custody of securities and treasury back office.  This includes all of the operational processes that are required for the completion of security and treasury position settlements, alternative products, foreign exchange, FX derivatives, options, corporate actions / events processing, bookkeeping, position/cash reconciliations and securities transfers.

The Investment Operations Director reports to the Sr. Director of Operations.

Position Duties / Responsibilities:

Treasury & Derivatives settlements
• Monitor trader limits and ensure/report derivative position limits to ensure compliance with Treasury policy.  Oversees and assures settlement of FX's, MM, NDFs, Interest Rate Swaps, Options, Repos, along with any other products executed by the Treasury Desk.

Transfers
• Coordinate with counterparts, custodians, brokers the process of free receipt/delivery of security settlement and ensure proper record keeping of customers’ accounts.
• Instruct external custodians for receipt/delivery of securities and input into internal Globus T24 system

Corporate actions
• Corroborates that corporate actions are processed accurately and on a timely basis.  These include the receipt and delivery of securities, the collection of interests, dividends, and principal payments, tax withholdings and reporting, and the certification and administration of participant options on corporate events which include warrant exercises, rights issues and voting.

Settlements
• Oversees the confirmation process for all transactions with counterparts and custodians and verifies that all operations are executed within standard market proactive guidelines, in compliance with regulatory requirements and within established Bank policies and procedures.
• Verifies the accuracy for the accounting of security movements in the Bank’s custody accounts, cash correspondent accounts and in the client positions. Manage and coordinate with multiple Fund administrators and funds families.

• Implements and updates operational procedures that comply with the Bank’s and the Regulators policies. 

Team Development/Management
• Oversee the day-to-day activities of the team, including budgeting, planning and staff development.
• Recruit and manage an appropriate team to support the development and execution of the People strategy and objectives
• Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality
• Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach on a consistent basis.
• Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments 

Other duties as assigned or requested by Manager

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience 

Business Experience:

8 - 12 years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency

Specialized and/or Technical Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Bloomberg a plus
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge Microsoft Office

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occassional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range

Minimum:

$108,750.00 USD

Maximum:

$210,000.00 USD
