Investment & Portfolio Strategist Sr. - Purpose Driven Investing

As a Senior Investment & Portfolio Strategist within PNC's Purpose Driven Investing (PDI) organization, you may be based in a remote location. Some travel will be required for client meetings and team collaboration.

The ideal candidate will:

• Run complex valuation, business performance, risk and operational analytics
for Purpose Driven Investment offering. Will include development of analytical
methods/models to evaluate purpose driven investment market data and/or
operational risk of new and existing PDI investment strategies.
• This role, in partnership with the investment office, will serve as subject matter
expert – especially in the form of report creation and portfolio theory. Report
creation refers to both ad hoc and self-service report automation via Seismic.
• Strong working knowledge of Sustainalytics, FactSet, plus additional sources
of purpose driven investing (PDI) data. (Also commonly referred to as ESG, SRI
and RI)
• Ability to interpret and apply RI//ESG/PDI data to investment portfolio overlays
and specific products/solutions within the ESG/RI/PDI universe.
• Ability to identify gaps in the offering and work with leadership to evaluate the
need and opportunity to institutionalize the offering efficiently.
• Consistently communicate your understanding of the data to the investment
advisor and his/her client’s need/requirements. The ability to translate mastery
of the subject matter to every day application is key.
• Interest in and ability to augment and/or create new tools to analyze data and
craft/update reporting function.
• Partner extensively with the investment office to manage, interpret and
articulate ESG/RI/PDI data for both internal teams and the client.
• Significant presentation skills for both internal and external applications

This is a remote position. Work may be performed from a quiet, confidential space in a home location, approved by PNC. This position may not be available in all geographic locations.

Job DescriptionRuns complex valuation, business performance, risk and operational analytics. Develops analytical methods/models to assess market, credit and or operational risk of new and existing investment strategies. Mentors less seasoned investment and portfolio strategists.Leverages investment expertise to rigorously analyze more complex datasets, to improve risk adjusted returns, to deliver profitable growth and to communicate conclusions. Synthesizes analytical results and develops, recommends and implements investment strategies that improve investment decisions, assist in managing risk, enhance performance and meet business goals. Establishes baselines for strategies and tracks actual performance to expectations.Develops and/or applies more complex predictive models, third party data and other tools to develop and execute investment and portfolio strategies to provide insight into portfolio expected return and risk. Manages engagements with internal and external information suppliers to ensure solution is fit for purpose while maintaining appropriate governance and oversight.Works with investment and model development partners to design, develop and monitor test designs and analytical reporting to track and enhance strategies. May design or enhance standard reporting suites for regular product and portfolio reviews.Collaborates with appropriate investment committee and risk partners to assess and establish investment risk appetite and to understand its implications, as well as to establish policies and procedures governing the identification, monitoring and management of risk appetite.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $65,000.00 – $194,350.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
