About The Role:
Responsibilities include underwriting and modeling multifamily investments. In a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment, everyone is asked to pitch in where needed to get tasks done. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter, extremely organized, and a team player.
What You'll Do:
+ Using Excel, prepare financial analyses to facilitate disposition decisions in the multifamily sector
+ Analysis of complex disposition structures including portfolio transactions, TIFs, ground leases, etc.
+ Prepare valuation and offering memoranda to support financial analysis, analyze market conditions (macro and micro), and outline disposition strategy and investment returns.
+ Financial analysis and tracking of operational performance of assets
+ Maintain current knowledge of the real estate industry and global capital markets by monitoring current financial publications and conducting research as necessary
+ Review or prepare market research to formulate opinions on market conditions and to support underwriting assumptions.
+ Assist with researching the market area – know what developments are happening and how they will affect the subject property you are proposing or marketing
+ Research Taxes
+ Collect Financials and other pertinent information from Seller
+ Select Rent and Sales Comps
+ Track new multifamily development throughout the DFW metroplex
+ Gather, stabilize, maintain, and interpret data and information from a variety of sources.
+ Develop analyses and reports to enhance client understanding of market trends and investment opportunities and prepare presentations for use at client meetings.
+ Read, abstract and analyze complex legal real estate related documentation to include financing/loan agreements and mortgage documents
+ Prepare clear, concise, and presentation ready documentation and spreadsheets that support and explain the basis of the analyses for use in client presentations, proposals and/or reports
+ Participate with team in client meetings to present and discuss analyses as needed. May discuss analysis summaries and findings with clients
+ Assist in the quality control effort to ensure that all client presentation materials are professional, accurate, high impact and reflect the standards of quality
+ Enter and maintain weekly new on market listings and sales comps
+ Field financial and market questions from clients and potential buyers
What You'll Need:

+ The Financial Analyst will be a motivated individual with demonstrated experience in real estate financial modeling skills.
+ High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
+ Aptitude for financial analysis, especially financial modeling skills
+ Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
+ Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate and other business and math focused fields will be considered
+ 2+ years of experience in financial modeling for commercial real estate investments, with an emphasis multifamily.
+ Collaborative and team-oriented
+ Demonstrated analytical and financial modeling experience
+ Experience in preparing offering memoranda and detailed valuation presentations
+ Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
