Investments Operations Alternatives Middle Office - Vice President

Join our dynamic team as a Vice President in Alternatives Middle Office, where you will lead global operations and drive strategic excellence.

As an Investments Operations Alternatives Middle Office Vice President in the Alternative Investments Support team, you will play a pivotal role in managing and driving part of the operations department that supports trade executions of Hedge Funds and Private Equity funds for our clients. You will foster an inclusive and collaborative team environment, where diverse perspectives are valued and encouraged. You will be responsible for ensuring consistency across our international operations, which span three locations, and making strategic decisions regarding location-based activities.

Job responsibilities

Leads and inspires the Alternative Investments Support team, promoting a culture of high performance, inclusion, and excellent client service Supports the growth and development of team members through mentorship and coaching Oversees the trade execution and monitors processes, ensuring timely booking and resolution of trade capture issues Manages cash and portfolio reconciliations and mid-life events Drives continuous improvement efforts to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk Influences and implements key business strategies and initiatives, with a focus on consistency across our international locations Acts as a liaison between the business, technology, control partners, and operations Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Ensures the production of timely, complete, and accurate regulatory reporting associated with team processes Exercises a high degree of independent decision-making and sound judgment Manages projects and processes to deliver business results

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Proven track record in operations, with experience in alternative assets, ideally within trade support (middle office) and/or settlement environment Experienced people manager with strong leadership and people management skills Highly disciplined, self-starter with the ability to execute on assignments independently and autonomously Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong capacity for operating in a flexible, dynamic environment where creative and strategic thinking Process improvement mindset and an independent/critical thinker Resilient attitude during demanding periods Aptitude to digest large amounts of information and devise appropriate solutions Enjoys data-gathering and able to tell stories with the data Strong commitment, sense of integrity, and exceptional drive Full working proficiency in English

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Understanding of regulations such as CASS and BaFin Experience in process change and execution with tools such as Python, Signavio, Alteryx, Xceptor, and/or VBA
