Responsibilities

We are seeking an IONM Technologist III to join our team.  In this role the technologist will monitor and record neurophysiologic central /peripheral nerve function during Neurosurgical and Orthopedic surgeries.

Responsibilities to include:

Communication with Supervisor for surgical case coverage.Communication with Surgeon for Modalities selected.Prepare equipment and supplies in monitored OR room.Connect recording computer to Reading Room and validate this connection.Input all patient information into IONM recording.Identify and validate correct patient being monitored, using name and date of birth.Apply recording and stimulating electrodes to protocols.Monitor neurophysiological central/peripheral function throughout the operative procedure communicating with surgeon ,neurophysiologist, anesthesiologist and nursing staff as necessary.Document throughout the monitoring process all relative communications, responses, physiological status, anesthetic adjustments and changes according to IONM protocols.Submit billing sheet after each case is completed.Actively participate in back up and Call responsibilities.
Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years current work experience as a technologist performing IONM in the OR required. 

Basic computer skills Word Excel and CERNER preferred.

Certified CNIM -Clinical Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring and hold one or more of the following:

R.EEG T (Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist

R. EP T. ( Registered Evoked Potential Technologist

R. NCS T. (Registered Nerve Conduction Technologist).

Peferred:

Certified CNIM Clinical Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring and hold two or more of the following:

R.EEG T (Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist
