Volt is immediately hiring an experienced IP / Litigation Paralegal for a top company in Los Alamitos. This is a 100% onsite role.

\r\n\r\n

As a IP / Litigation Paralegal, the work may entail:

\r\n\r\n

Corporate Maintenance:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tCoordinates and maintains minute books, prepares powers of attorney, proxies, written consents, Secretary's certificates and resolutions for the company and its domestic/international subsidiaries.\r\n\tWorks with Finance to obtain necessary state authorizations to do business at state and local levels.\r\n\tManages registered agent services.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Litigation Support

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tGathers, organizes and reports information from various sources within and outside the organization.\r\n\tCoordinates discovery with in-house lawyers and outside counsel.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Computer Support

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tCoordinates with IS to ensure smooth functioning of local area network.\r\n\tTroubleshoots network and user computer problems.\r\n\tProvides input to selection of software, upgrades, etc.\r\n\tServes as primary interface to outside computer consultant.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Research and Tracking

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPerforms research using on-line services and the internet on a variety of topics (e.g., corporate profiles, news articles, patent and trademark information, domain name protection, etc).\r\n\r\n\r\n

Records Management

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tSupports department’s records management program by working with Sr. Counsel and administrative staff to save and purge records according to department’s records schedule. Also responsible for assisting other departments with records management function.\r\n\tManages off-site file storage for the department and assists others around the company with this task.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Relationship Management
\r\n1. Builds strong relationships with peers, other departments, and managers to best meet company goals and objectives.

\r\n\r\n

This is an onsite role, working M-F from 8am – 5pm. It is temp for about 6 months, with a strong possibility of being extended. It also offers a foot in the door of a company known to convert our talent.

\r\n\r\n

Minimum Qualifications:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\t1 – 2 years of corporate paralegal, litigation and/OR IP experience.\r\n\tStrong communication skills\r\n\tAbility to prioritize and multitask\r\n\r\n\r\n

Pay Rate: $34-38/hr

\r\n\r\n

** Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
