IRIS Database Engineering Intern

Each intern will participate in group projects that illustrate their creativity and builds on their technical teamwork skills. **Your Summer at a Glance** + May – Take Off + Program Kick-Off and the Start of the Summer! + June – Teamwork and Discovery + Work with your assigned team and fellow Interns on projects while also attending workshops, panels, and tours + July – Networking and Public Speaking + Present to Senior Leadership, work with team members on innovative new projects, and expand your career network + August – Takeaways + Provide insight for your future career, and create lasting career networks **Skills** + Assist in the installation, management, and support IRIS Database instances on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Microsoft Windows Server operating systems. Tasks and opportunities may include: + Requesting new servers from the platform team + Working with operating systems teams configuring new servers + Creating Bash shell scripts and/or IRIS ObjectScript routines to facilitate the configuration of the database servers and migration of the application instances + Requesting and installing ssh certificates + Support application teams in configuring the database environment including/not limited to web service configuration and security settings + Assist in setting up backups and other database and monitoring processes + Initial orientation will include setting up/configuring an IRIS instance on the workstation and setting up/becoming acclimated to the InterSystems IRIS IDE and development. **Requirements:** + Current pursuing a Bachelor’s program in Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other equivalent. **Pay Range:** $22 - $25 hourly **Benefits:** Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
