Job Description:
Our client is in need of an experienced IROC Senior Project Manager to lead the development, implementation, and management of the Integrated Remote Operations Center (IROC) initiatives. This role will involve overseeing complex projects aimed at enhancing the remote monitoring, control, and optimization of mining operations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams, implementing advanced technological solutions, and driving operational efficiencies in the mining or industrial sectors.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the integration of control systems, real-time data analytics, automation technologies, and communication tools to optimize remote operations.
Collaborate with teams across engineering, IT, operations, and production to ensure alignment and smooth execution of IROC-related initiatives.
Implement strategies to streamline operations and enhance productivity across all remote-controlled mining sites.
Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that project goals align with the company's strategic objectives.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure the success of IROC implementation, focusing on improvements in operational efficiency, safety, and cost reductions.
Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure successful delivery within scope and on budget.
Ensure all remote operations comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Provide regular updates and comprehensive reports to senior management on project status, efficiency gains, and operational impacts.
Requirements:
Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
Fluent English communication skills.
French communication skills advantageous.
10+ years’ experience in project management within the mining, energy or heavy industrial sectors, with a focus on remote operations or automation.
Expertise in SCADA systems, control systems, real-time data analytics, and other technologies used in remote operations.
Proven experience in leading complex, multidisciplinary projects, with a strong understanding of mining processes and technology integration.
Proficiency in project management methodologies and project management software.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
