Job Description

Will maintain the golf course to ensure it is well maintained. Will be responsible for the assigned irrigation equipment to include sprinklers, water lines, pumps, suction devices, valves and other plumbing equipment.  Irrigation technicians will also work with digging equipment such as backhoes, shovels and augers for underground or buried equipment. 

Responsibilities Responsible for operation and repair of the irrigation system as a whole to insure proper water distribution as required for optimum turf healthDemonstrate preparation for day’s work by arriving in uniform and with a positive attitudeUnderstand daily job assignment chart and how your assignment relates to that day’s playRecognize the various equipment applications so as to make the proper selection for that job assignmentCarry out all golf course maintenance tasks with a sense of pride and ownership so as to adhere to established quality guidelines for daily course conditioningInspect all tools and equipment prior to, during and after use. Operate all equipment safely and with care and consideration of its valueReport any damage and or lack of performance to a supervisorDemonstrate an understanding of the work order system for equipment repair and maintenance Qualifications Previous experience preferredMust have knowledge of Irrigation system including pump stations and all components Must be able to work outdoors in varios weather conditions
