In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our products through comprehensive testing processes. The ideal candidate will collaborate with development teams, business stakeholders, and end users to identify issues, ensure business requirements are met, and deliver seamless user experiences. Information Technology Services (IT) is a 24x7 information technology shop. Applicants must be willing and available to perform duties as required by the job. Due to the nature of the work, this job will require hours beyond normal work hours. ***Your resume must be attached to the application in order to be considered*** *** This eligible list will expire in six (6) months *** Typical Duties + Quality Assurance: + Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and scripts. + Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing. + Identify, document, and track defects using defect-tracking tools. + Validate fixes and perform retesting of resolved issues. + User Acceptance Testing (UAT): + Collaborate with business stakeholders to define UAT scenarios and acceptance criteria. + Coordinate and facilitate UAT processes, including planning, execution, and reporting. + Provide support and guidance to end users during UAT activities. + Collaboration: + Work closely with product owners, developers, and project managers to understand business requirements and technical specifications. + Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives in an Agile environment. + Communicate test results and provide recommendations for improvement. + Continuous Improvement: + Contribute to the enhancement of testing processes, tools, and best practices. + Stay updated with industry trends and emerging testing technologies. Minimum Qualifications Any combination of education and experience that would prepare the incumbent to perform the duties of the position at the appropriate level. Employees would typically have three (3) years related experience in information technology systems support or programming using ITMS tools. Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply. ***Candidate must receive and maintain a status of “pass” from Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) background check.*** Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.
