Job Description

McDonald’s has set an ambition to become a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader. To make this happen, we are standing up a new Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Organization (IS&P). This organization will help McDonald’s to better use our scale and unlock sustainable value for our company and communities. We are redefining our Indirect Sourcing and Procurement capabilities, processes, solutions, and ways of working to create One McDonald’s Way of buying Indirect goods and services responsibly.

The Lead of Functional Governance and Strategy in IS&P will be responsible for overseeing the development, execution, and continuous improvement of indirect sourcing and procurement governance frameworks and critical initiatives. This role will ensure that indirect sourcing and procurement practices are aligned with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, while driving the strategic direction of IS&P. The Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to define and implement sourcing and procurement strategies that improve value, optimize efficiency, and mitigate risks across the supply chain.

It is expected that this role will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust governance structures that support compliance, ethical sourcing, and risk management. The position also includes providing oversight on procurement performance metrics, reporting on key critical initiatives, and recommending improvements to enhance operational effectiveness. Additionally, the Lead will inspire change management efforts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within IS&P. 

Responsibilities:

Design and implement governance framework that ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and industry standardsLead the GBS Indirect Sourcing & Procurement governance framework to ensure alignment with McDonald’s strategic objectivesLead the creation and execution of procurement strategies that align with business goals, drive cost efficiencies, improve supplier relationships, and mitigate risks.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of governance and strategy initiativesLead the establishment and oversight of PMO standardsDevelop and implement governance processes by collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive adherence to best practicesEnsure effective communication and reporting of project statuses, risks, and governance issues to leadership and partners to facilitate proactive issue resolutionProvide guidance and training to procurement teams and other departments on governance, strategic priorities, and procurement best practices

The expected salary range for this role is $149,260 – $190,310 per year
