Job Description:

The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters). 

Job Summary

The IS Specialist manages the planning, organization and implementation of complex programs.

What You Will Do:

• Overseeing project processes and procedures; monitoring the productivity and performance of project team.
• Managing all aspects of projects. Setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress of project.
• Reviewing and ensuring adherence to project materials, deliverables methodologies and procedures.
• Preparing and presenting program level reporting for upper management.

What You Have - Skills:

Planning & Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years), and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan, and to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. This includes ensuring attention to the detail and dependencies of existing departmental-level plans, planning for the allocation of resources in line with unit goals, integrating the planning process with the overall business plan, organizing and prioritizing the sequence of steps to be taken to remedy the situation, quantifying the costs, benefits, risks and chances for success before recommending a course of action, and approaching a complex problem by breaking it down into its component parts.

Flexibility, Adaptability & Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of successful approaches and techniques for dealing with change and effective self-management practices; ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change, and to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation. This includes working effectively with unstructured teams, situations, or environments, leveraging prior experience as a help towards handling changing situations, making progress in an atmosphere of ambiguity and uncertainty, clarifying and handling multiple concurrent and diverse activities, shifting focus among several efforts as required by changing priorities, working with or leading others to re-prioritize work and reschedule commitments as necessary, and responding to shifting priorities while maintaining progress of regularly scheduled work.

Influencing & Relationship Management: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies, and relationship management techniques; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization, and to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. This includes using active listening skills and probing techniques to surface opportunities to influence, identifying who the decision-makers are and how they receive information, regularly presenting ideas or suggestions to associates in persuasive terms, communicating to clients regarding expectations of all parties, conducting periodic reviews of work effort, progress, issues, and successes, maintaining productive, long-term relationships with clients or vendors, and empowering others to establish collaborative, healthy relationships.

Project Management & Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics, and tools, methods, and techniques of requirements analysis; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives, and to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project. This includes utilizing preferred tools, techniques and methods for estimating project cost and time, planning, estimating, staffing, organizing and monitoring significant projects, identifying risks and vulnerabilities; creating contingency plans, conducting regular and ad-hoc project reviews with project team, sponsors, and clients, maintaining open communication among project participants and interested parties, communicating reporting requirements; creating monitoring and control mechanisms, following policies, practices and standards for determining functional and informational requirements, communicating with customers and users to elicit and gather client requirements, and utilizing specific organizational methods, tools and techniques for requirements analysis.

Candidates will have:  

Bachelor's degree.

Pre Advanced English.

Top Candidates Will Have:

Previous project management experience.

Experience using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification.

Advanced/Fluent English.
