Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled IS Specialist- Lead Technology Specialist to join our team who will have the opportunity to champion Applications Development and Support Team -CAT IT Division

The Hana Technical Lead and Basis administration role is responsible to ensure SAP environments (both on premise and cloud based) are stable and secure. This role collaborates with Functional, Infrastructure, Programming, and Security teams to ensure environment availability. Although this role is basis administration, the focus will be on Hana Database Administration. 

The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore, Whitefield office.

What you will do:

Roles & Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Install, Upgrade, and patch Hana database software and utilitiesProduce reports and analyze capacity utilization to forecast capacity needsAnalyze performance data and provide recommendations to improve service levelsAssist developers with database activitiesUpdate and maintain database security protocolsAdministrate and maintain replication and connection technologiesMaintain backup and recovery strategies and processesCreate and implement automation strategies for repeating database task/activitiesLiaison for other DB platformsEnvironment design, capacity forecast, and implementation of Infrastructure/Storage/Database componentsTechnical configuration, implementationPerformance monitoring and tuningHigh Availability and Disaster Recovery ServicesBackup/RecoveryPrint ManagementEnvironment ManagementLevel 4 TroubleshootingHana Database administrationCompliance management

What you will have:

Professional & Technical Skills:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job-related work experience.6+ Hana DBA experienceBroad knowledge in Linux and shell scriptingStrong Command of SQL and SAP Hana Admin Tools (Hana Cockpit, Hana Studio, etc.)
