Job Description

As an IS Specialist you will manage the hardware and much of the software needs of your local branch and customer base. Your internal customers are a diverse mix of technical and non-technical individuals so you will develop your skills communicating with both areas. Your skills in developing tools and technical solutions will assist improve the branch's processes and productivity and you will have ownership of the purchase, inventory and set up of new systems and devices and will ensure that the network operates at consistently and efficiently. You are an integral member of the team that ensures the effective management of technology, systems and keeps us operating efficiently.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Execute Regular IS Basic Tasks to keep the systems up & runningPC builds and deployment using our standard imaging processLevel 1 and 2 Helpdesk AdministrationTechnical Support for PC, LAN, Expeditors Software and systems administration & troubleshooting, in addition to global, regional and branch project implementationManage daily server data backupsOn call for after-hours IS issuesAsset Management such as purchasing, shipping, tracking and maintenanceEnsure adherence to Company policies and procedures

Qualifications

 

Hardware Management: You will continuously manage the operational effectiveness of the branch's hardware, taking control of inventory, end of life, ordering, set up and retiring of all hardware.Software: You will have responsibility for troubleshooting software issues, roll out of new software solutions, the backup and storage of data and its security and the effective use of technical solutions that support operational performance.Solutions: In this role you will have the opportunity to build and develop solutions in conjunction with the operational teams, that drive efficiencies into the operational processes of the branch, supporting and or developing solutions that drive automation and optimization of productivityWindows 10 OS experience and PC Troubleshooting; preferred candidates will have experience building PC'sTechnology concepts - PowerShell, Networking, TCPIP, Cybersecurity, CablingSoftware - Office, Exchange, SharePointEffective problem solving skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks/projectsDemonstrated customer service skills and proven interpersonal skillsGood communication skillsInquisitive and exploratory mind-setIT Certifications considered a plus: CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, Linux
