Description We are offering a contract to hire opportunity for an IS Technical Specialist III (Senior) to join our team based in Columbus, Ohio. This role falls within the IT industry, with a particular focus on Enterprise Middleware Operations. As a specialist, you will be tasked with managing and maintaining our Middleware infrastructure, supporting our development teams, and contributing to the overall IT strategies. Key responsibilities include: • Overseeing the Enterprise-Class Middleware and Container stack that supports a multitude of mission-critical systems. • Managing new capabilities, software upgrades, and enhancements while providing direct support and consultation for application onboarding and integration. • Participating in on-call support rotation for critical systems. • Automating existing and new processes to increase our operational efficiencies. • Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to Middleware and Container technologies. • Collaborating with development teams to provide technical expertise and guidance. • Ensuring high availability and performance of Middleware and Container systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance. • Continually improving processes and procedures for Middleware operations. • Keeping abreast of industry trends in technology and architecture. • Participating in team meetings, reviews, and project status reports. Requirements • Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Go, PHP, and XML Technologies • Familiarity with Unix - SCO, Sinix Aix, Linux technologies, and AWS Technologies • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues • Experience in operations, procedures, and quality enhancement • Ability to work with automation and engineering tools • Experience in the financial services sector • Proficiency in GIT and JSON • Strong critical thinking skills • Experience in editing and consultation • Ability to manage onboarding processes • Experience in problem-solving and providing technical solutions.
