Introduction

 

We are seeking an integrated Service Solutions (ISS) Controller to join our Life Cycle Services team. You will be responsible to provide technical, financial and commercial support to all the operating regions globally. Coordination is required with these regions for the development of their contract execution to maximize results of Metso service contractual business. In this position, you will report to Ankit Palsania, Finance Business Partner, MTB & ISS.

 

This position is mainly located in North and Central America and Europe, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

 

 

Team you belong to

 

You will join a team of ISS Controllers dedicated to assure the proper recording, reporting, and analysis of all financial results of Project & contracts globally, to ensure the complying with the approved targets, in accordance with company financial policies and reporting procedures along with generally accepted accounting procedures, IFRS requirements, and tax laws.

 

What you’ll do
 

Global Reporting & Analysis: Provide and analyze the global Live Cycle Services monthly reporting package (bookings, revenue, profitability). Offer recommendations to management on the status of ongoing projects. Project Performance Review: Review and analyze project progress and performance. Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure necessary project controls are in place to achieve objectives. Report Coordination: Coordinate the preparation and analysis of project reports.Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Risk Mitigation & Compliance: Maintain controls to mitigate financial and operational risks. Ensure compliance with internal policies. Business Process Development: Assist in developing and implementing business processes related to financial reporting on LCS agreements. Involved in Cost Uncertainty Analysis (CUA). Budget Analysis: Prepare budget analysis (plan vs actual) and explain variances. Consult with Market Areas (MA) on various accounting issues. Contract & Cost Structure Support: Assist Market Areas in implementing proper cost structures at the onset of new contracts. Organize and lead monthly project management review meetings with different Market Areas (EUE, NCA, APA, MEI, AFR, and CHN). Financial Training: Provide financial training to LCS project and contract managers. Reporting Controls: Assist in developing and implementing business processes and reporting controls. Monitor project breakdown structures for accurate reporting to project managers. Risk Analysis & Recommendations: Perform risk analysis (ROA) and provide recommendations and preliminary action plans to project leaders. Inventory Analysis: Conduct inventory analysis (trend and ITO). Contract Reviews: Actively participate in pre-closing contract reviews with the Market Area contract team.

 

Who you are

 

Experienced: 5+ years in a controller role is highly advantageous. Leadership: Proven ability to act as a finance lead in multi-location projects. Strong capability to challenge and collaborate with other stakeholders. Financial Expertise: Deep understanding of key financial business performance metrics (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Solid grasp of project accounting principles. Strategic Thinker: Demonstrated strategic and analytical thinking skills. Ability to influence and lead change within the organization. Technical Proficiency: Prior experience with SAP ERP is a significant advantage. Proficient command of Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
