Pay: $55-70hr, conversion salary of $160,000
Provides overall direction and oversight for all security activities and artifacts associated with the continued operation of federal applications and or accreditation boundaries.
Review security documents and ATO packages to ensure content is of high quality and conforms to Bureau standards.
Ensure that applicable cybersecurity policies and controls are implemented for BEP existing and new systems.
Ensure the development and implementation of cybersecurity procedures to support the consistent and effective implementation of security controls for the system.
Ensure timely completion and reporting of required continuous monitoring activities including but not limited to system security assessments and POA&M or other identified system weakness monitoring and resolution.
Serve as the principal advisors to the AO, System Owner (SO), and/or the CISO on all matters (technical and otherwise) involving security of the system.
Coordinate with the SO to ensure the systems security documentation is maintained, changes to the system are controlled in accordance with applicable change management policies and procedures, and security impacts of proposed changes are evaluated by or reported to officials responsible for change control.
Support BEP in responding to audits and/or other oversight reviews or investigation from internal or external oversight organizations
Assist and advise on professional communications to include written, verbal, formal, and informal
Assist in the assessment of gaps in the existing cyber security policies, procedures, and guides and provide recommend and implemented approved remediation steps.
Develop, maintain, and assess gaps in the existing cyber security policies, procedures, and guides.
