IT Administrator
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Administrator to manage and oversee our organization’s IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in system administration, network management, and troubleshooting, and be dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems. Apply today to learn more about this exciting opportunity! + Configure and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and internet systems. + Oversee server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of both physical and virtual servers. + Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, antivirus programs, and encryption, ensuring protection from external and internal threats. + Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, providing timely support to end-users. + Perform routine backups of data and systems, ensuring data integrity and recovery procedures are in place in case of system failure. + Monitor the health and performance of systems and networks, implementing improvements as needed. + Install, upgrade, and maintain software applications and operating systems, ensuring that all systems are running the latest versions. + Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, network configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. + Work with various departments to understand their IT needs and provide solutions that enhance productivity. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). + 3+ years of experience in IT administration or a similar role. + Proficient in managing network infrastructure, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud-based services (AWS, Azure). + Strong understanding of security protocols, firewalls, and VPN configurations. + Experience with server management (both on-premises and cloud-based), Active Directory, and data backup/recovery procedures. + Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. + Strong communication skills, able to interact with all levels of staff. + Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE). + Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python. + Familiarity with database management systems (SQL, MySQL).
