Tuvli is in need of an IT Analyst who will assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the Department of State (DOS) Bureau of Overseas Building Operations. As the IT Analyst, the incumbent will oversee first and second tier support to end users for PC applications and hardware. May interact with other Branches, Divisions, Bureaus or Agencies to restore service and identify and correct core problems. Recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems. Maintains currency and high level of technical skill in field of expertise. Responsibilities Oversee Tier 1 and 2 support of IT systems, monitors, printers, plotters and other peripherals for classified and unclassified networks, and stand-alone systems; respond to service desk requests received via walk-ins, telephone calls, email communication or the ServiceNow ticketing system. Work closely with vendors and manufacturers regarding troubleshooting issues, expedite repair and solicit updates as needed; obtain repair quotes. Remain current on DoS IT offerings; develop and maintain a 3-to-4-year system refresh plan; assist with the scheduling and documentation of all refreshed workstations, monitors, printers, etc.; obtain new hardware item purchase quotes and process for procurement. Work closely with outside departments such as DoS DT in regards to Tier 3 system support, workstation deployments, and the creation and testing of desktop images. Assist with managing the inventory of equipment such as workstations, monitors, hard drives, thumb drives, printer parts, etc. Provide training and assistance to newly hired IT employees in regards to IT security, utilization of networks, computers, and peripherals such as scanners, copiers and printers. Monitor onsite vendor support during service visits to include Special Program office space. Diagnose desktop connectivity issues from the network drop to the patch panel in the network closet. Assist in setting up audio and visual equipment in preparation for conferences, training and meetings. Perform troubleshooting and diagnosing existing conference room IT systems Coordinate periodic A/V training sessions to employees throughout the Bureau. Qualifications Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active Secret Security clearance. 2+ years of related work experience. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience. Advanced knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office software products. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent customer interfacing and service skills to support effective interaction with staff, management, customers, and others. Excellent attention to detail. Strong organization and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize many complex tasks simultaneously. Ability to research, interpret and implement bureau policies and procedures.
