Job Summary:

This IT Analyst Technical Infrastructure role assists in the development, implementation and integration of IT infrastructure. Within Logistics Information Services division, you will assist in the development, support and maintenance of Facility / Mobility Solutions used to meet customer needs. This role requires fast response times and collaboration with local and global peers to support these critical processes. This is a hands on role supporting warehouse operation environment.

What You Will Do:

Assist with implementation, development and integration of new or existing technologies within the organizational structure.Track and record technology development needs; provide input or recommendations for enhancements or modifications to the organization's technology products.Collect and analyze information on new technology products and development tools for systems and applications, network and data, software and hardware.Assist in testing and evaluating new technologies and provide feedback to leadership. Performing support and monitoring for mobility solutions across Calyton Caterpillar Parts facility.Proactively monitoring, investigating, and supporting RF / Printing / Mobility systems deployed across Caterpillar Parts facilities. This includes interactions with site staff for issues being experienced in the daily use of solutions.Supporting Mobility Lifecycle (including MDM management, OS updates, etc)Supporting Windows environments updates, building PC’s and troubleshootingSupport PSLD Operations by handling incoming incident tickets, collaborative MS teams communications and direct calls to address issues for various systems and technologies.Working with local facility staff, Network Team, Cybersecurity Team, Site IT Contacts, Logistics Center Managers (LCMs), and other impacted subject matter experts to implement system enhancements.Assist with implementation, development and integration of new or existing technologies within the organizational structure.Performing network monitoring and troubleshooting connection issues (Wired/Wireless) for warehouse endpoint devices.Provide off-shift and weekend support for incidents and production migrations related to infrastructure enhancements to PSLD facilities.Troubleshooting network, radio, camera and communication devices at elevated levels for sustained timeframes.Ensure conformance of established IT architecture, standards, and practicesWorks to develop automated digital solutions for operations though PowerBI, PowerApp and Power automate platforms.

What You Have (Required Skills):

Core Application Systems: Knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations. Level Basic Understanding:Knowledge of Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) connectivityKnowledge of integration with servers, mobile devices, printers, and Windows PCsUnderstanding of Windows O365servicesElevated knowledge with Windows Office Suite software (Word,Excel,PowerPoint)Well rounded knowledge of basic codingIT Environment: Knowledge of an organization's IT purposes and activities; ability to create an effective IT environment for business operations. Performing network troubleshooting and support for a substantial network environment involving multiple domains, firewalls etc.IT Standards, Procedures & Policies: Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) standards and policies; ability to utilize a variety of administrative skill sets and technical knowledge to manage organizational IT policies, standards, and procedures.System and Technology Integration: Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms. Level Working Knowledge:Knowledge of integration with servers, mobile devices, printers, and Windows PCs.Assists with current and planned integration initiatives.Understanding of Network firewalls and related firewall rules as impacting applications and solutions.Explores major issues and considerations for successful system integration.Works with applications, data, technology bridges and a variety of platforms.Works with existing interfaces as well as integration and migration plans within own area.Plays an active role in local integration efforts.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):

Technology degree or a min of 2 years of relevant IT experience and education.Understanding of Mobile Device Managers (SOTI, VPSX, PPME, etc)Understanding of Prime, Network Flow Analysis, Infoblox, Ekahau Survey)Experience and knowledge of AzureKnowledge of ZPL codingC++, Java and PythonWorks to develop automated digital solutions for operations though PowerBI, PowerApp and Power automate platforms.Managing network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN) including troubleshooting connectivity issues, configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and monitoring network performance.Understanding of virtual server infrastructuresUnderstanding of Android Operating Systems

Summary Pay Range:

$71,040.00 - $106,440.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
