IT Application Business Analyst

Reporting to IT Application Manager, NA, The IT Application Analyst is responsible for managing applications and associated business processes adopted in the region. This role requires a deep understanding of business operations and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. The IT Application Analyst will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our business objectives and IT capabilities. This position involves analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and leveraging data to drive informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a robust analytical mindset within a busy operational environment.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:

$90,000 - $100,000 Per Year

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and objectives.
• Document and analyze current business processes and workflows.
• Identify areas for improvement and propose actionable solutions.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and workflows.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Work with large datasets to assess data flow and ensure data integrity.
• Create and maintain data reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
• Use statistical methods and tools to analyze and present data findings.
• Elicit, document, and validate business requirements.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for IT development teams.
• Ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to design and implement solutions.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate that solutions meet business requirements.
• Provide training and support to end-users on new systems and processes.
• Serve as a liaison between business units and IT teams.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Facilitate meetings and presentations to convey findings and recommendations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in business analysis and data analytics.
• Continuously seek opportunities to enhance business processes and data analysis methodologies.
• Contribute to the development of business analysis standards and practices within the organization.
Qualifications:
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience with process modeling and improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
• Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in business analysis and data analysis.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI)
Work Experience:

• Experience with global IT applications (e.g., ERP, CRM), development & testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and how they can be applied to drive business value.
• Broad (general) knowledge of the concepts, standards, technology, tools, procedures, hardware, software and services in use for delivering IT Services.
• Enthusiasm for the IT support environment, with a passion and customer focus toward the end user customer.
• At least 2 years of IT and business/industry work experience.

Technical skills:
• Solid understanding of ITIL processes
• Experience of and ability to communicate and operate effectively.
• Costumer focused.
• The ability to pick up new technology and learn new skills quickly, willingness to develop new skills and take on new challenges.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced and expert competency in general and product specific IT support issues.
• Ability to challenge, question and improve methods and processes where necessary.
• Self-motivated, tenacious and able to work with a degree of autonomy.
• Able to work with team members, good inter-personal skills, excellent team player.
• Experience of modern Microsoft Office products, and miscellaneous software
Communication and language skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluent English language knowledge is a must + local language knowledge.
