RESPONSIBILITIES

The IT Applications Analyst Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) assists in the maintenance and implementation of LIS applications, as well as related systems and databases to ensure optimum performance.    

Will work with the business unit in utilizing the software, importing data, ensuring system uptime, new releases and system enhancements.  

Must be able to work with multiple teams and business units simultaneously and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environment.  

Must demonstrate the eagerness and ability to learn and must work well in a team environment. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.  Application related certifications preferred

Previous Experience:   

1-3 years of experience in Laboratory application platforms and/or training; or equivalent combination of higher education and experience.  Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Previous use of Laboratory information systems required, experience with SCC Soft Computer application suites preferred such as SoftPathDx, SoftCytogenetics, SoftMolecular and SoftBiochemistry.  This is a On-Site/Remote Hybrid position.  Up to 25% of time may be needed on site at a Laboratory or Corporate office location

Demonstrated ability to interact in a positive and respectful manner to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Demonstrated ability to analyze information, problems, issues, situations and procedures to develop effective solutions.

Ability to exercise strict confidentiality in all matters.  

Certifications/Licenses: 

Must have and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license and vehicle to attend meetings and travel to satellite offices.
