IT Asset/Configuration Manager

Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide oversight for organizational Configuration Management Database (CMDB) auditing to ensure the accuracy of configuration data and proper reporting and status accounting.Assist in maintaining positive configuration control over the fielded IT systems baselineSupport a systems logistics/sustainment baseline, incorporating associated parts list.Support on-going acquisition and sustainment baseline procurement activities.Contractor shall support configuration changes in the following ways: • Assist in guiding installation and removal of system configuration itemsCollect & catalog documentation regarding physical configuration changes (what HW was added, what HW was removed, and where system components are located)Collect & catalog documentation regarding HW modificationsProvide strategic guidance and process improvement recommendations that facilitates efficient data capture, synchronization, and deconfliction that ensures the accuracy, currency, and relevancy of information captured through discovery, API integrations, and manual inputs.Track CI data such as EOL and EOS established equipment replacement timelinesEstablish life cycle management plan for CI throughout their lifecycleMaintain CI data inventory via CMDB and established asset inventory systemContinuous improvements for the automation and maintenance of non-discoverable data attributes including integration of other asset management systems.Works with the Configuration management team, to improve CI data integrity regarding classes, naming conventions, attributes, data sources, and relationshipsWorking with Cross-functional teams with multiple product ownersValidate the soundness and accuracy of configuration management audits and reconciliationWorks with other ITSM processes to inform configuration management activities based on new requirements ensuring alignment to NIST and ZTA frameworksProvide strategic guidance and direction to build seamless dashboard with CI metrics and analytics that support health tracking of CIs, and their relationships, impact to changes.Ensure the establishment of detailed records that provide current state of CIs, historical changes, and checks/balances that are fully auditable.Other duties as assigned. Define and document CIs throughout their lifecycleDocumenting and reviewing CM findings and then coordinating corrective actionMonitoring standards compliance, as well as change and release implementationEvaluating baseline deviations and making recommendations for rectifying themSupporting Technical Review Board (TRB) and Change Review Board (CRB) meetings or other medium established to manage change control.Physical asset management experience for TS/SCI systems

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics or business/finance.

Experience: This position requires a minimum of five years’ IT TS/SCI military asset management and/or property book experience.

Certifications:

ITIL4 (Desired)CM Certification (Desired) (e.g.NDIA CDM, CMPIC, CMTF)

Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI

Location: On Customer Site

US Citizenship Required

Additional Requirements: For Germany and Italy positions, candidate must meet TESA requirements as follows:

Germany:

● A Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years of recent specialized experience; or

● Associates Degree and seven (7) years of recent specialized experience; or

● No degree and 11 years or recent specialized experience.
