The IT Asset Management Specialist oversees the management of the IT Asset Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and ensures the effective management of IT assets throughout their lifecycle. This role is responsible for developing and maturing processes related to asset tracking and reporting, End of Life (EOL) reporting, hardware roadmap planning, testing, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
The IT Asset Management Specialist will also manage a team member responsible for shipping, receiving, request fulfillment, and inventory audits, to ensure timely delivery of IT assets to our colleagues.
The ideal candidate is detail oriented and has a deep understanding of IT asset lifecycle management, from procurement to end of life processes, and the ability to effectively report on that lifecycle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Develop and implement new asset management strategies and processes to ensure accurate asset tracking and timely updates to the CMDB.Lead End of Life (EOL) reporting efforts, including the identification, tracking, and decommissioning of identified IT assets.Monitor and report on inventory levels, ensuring appropriate equipment levels are maintained.Ensure compliance with internal and external inventory controls and auditing requirements.Interface with technology hardware vendors to understand product offerings and roadmaps, as well as initiate and manage escalations and maintenance requests as necessary.Oversee the shipping, receiving, and request fulfillment processes to ensure timely and accurate distribution of IT assets from both on-site and vendor managed fulfillment centers.Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to provide visibility into asset status, inventory levels, and asset lifecycle metrics.Collaborate with IT teams to ensure all assets are effectively managed and tracked across departments.Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies between physical and recorded asset data.Provide guidance and training to staff on asset management processes and best practices.Adhere to bank policies and procedures designed to comply with federal regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act and OFAC regulations. To that end, ensure timely and accurate preparation of Currency Transaction Reports, Suspicious Activity Reports and other recordkeeping requirements. Complete and pass all assigned eLearning courses and assigned certifications as required. Avoid all real or perceived conflicts of interest and always maintain client privacy and confidentiality.Other duties as assigned Qualifications
Education/Skills/Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.ITIL certification or similar relevant certifications in asset management or IT service management preferred but not required.Strong knowledge of IT Asset Management processes, hardware lifecycle management, and EOL reporting.Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to develop and implement process improvements to ensure accuracy and efficiency in asset management.Familiarity with asset management tools and technologies.Experience
Proven experience managing IT assets, including setting up and maintaining a Configuration Management Database (CMDB).Experience in inventory control, auditing, and managing reporting.Experience with asset management within FreshService or the Atlassian suite of tools preferred but not required.
