IT Asset Management Specialist (Intermediate)

ODS has several opportunities for a 5-year contract supporting a federal client in the DC Metro area for accounting, budgeting, operations, and financial reporting.

Job Summary:

The IT Asset Management Specialist will be supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Regional FPS by monitoring of the Service Request Module (SRM) in the Remedy System, maintaining accounts and files in the Sunflower Asset Management System (SAMS), and providing assistance for special projects.

Base Salary: $77,000 - $82,000 /Annually

Responsibilities/Duties:

Daily monitoring of the Service Request Module (SRM) in the Remedy SystemDaily monitoring of the Service Delivery MailboxSetup work space with IT equipment for Onboarding employeesRequest creation of new Sunflower Asset Management System (SAMS) account for onboarding employeeEnsure off boarding employees return issued assetsIssue IT assets to FPS employees as requiredPackage and ship IT assets to the Regions when required or as neededUpdate SAMS when new IT assets are acquired, moved, excessed, or recoveredKeep track of the movement of FPS assetsAssist with the moving of assets between FPS storage locationsSet-up and troubleshoot an end user’s iPhone and/or MiFiPlace orders for new devices or replacement devicesMaintain inventory of phone cases and accessories for wireless devicesUpdate wireless inventory in SAMS when devices need to be added, recovered, and excessedExpert in Microsoft Suite (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Tableau SoftwareWork effectively with other branches and divisions within the organization to accomplish tasksProvide assistance, as needed, with special projectsComplete other ad hoc assignments, as determinedAssist in the preparation of presentation materialsMaintain confidentiality of informationPrepare, edit, and assemble reports required for meetings and presentationsOversee the development, revision, and preparation of training materialsOversee the development and editing of regularly scheduled status reports, as requested by the Government Task Manager

Qualifications:

A minimum of eight years of experience in project or program management, or related work with a minimum of five of the eight years in conducting analytical and support activities related to task area.A minimum education requirement of a Bachelor’s Degree.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingAbility to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical dataAbility to read and interpret management policy, regulations, and directivesProficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 or higher to include Word, Access, Excel, PowerPointAbility to work effectively with a group or independentlyAbility to effectively manage several tasks simultaneously
