IT Asset Manager

We are excited to bring on an IT Asset Manager.  We’re looking for someone who has experience and is well-versed in IT Asset Management, is passionate about optimizing processes and ensuring seamless operations, and thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.  This role entails overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our company's IT Assets, including hardware and software licenses. We are responsible for managing all endpoints and the licenses within for all employees.  This is a position that covers equipment purchasing, financial management and tracking, forecasting, vendor management, reporting, troubleshooting and working with internal partners to capture requirements for different areas of the business. Candidates should possess strong process and project management skills and experience. 

What You'll Do:

Manage day-to-day processes and procedures to support ongoing operations of ITAM; act in the capacity of a subject matter expert to support ongoing ITAM projects Develop and implement an Asset Management system and process, experience with Jira Asset Management is a plus Facilitates the entire process from requisition through delivery and invoicing Duties are broad in nature and require the incumbent to exercise independent judgment related to assignments  Responsible for implementation of continuous process improvements; partner with asset owners to ensure asset information is kept accurate and up to date throughout the asset lifecycle Primary IT Procurement point of contact for all new and existing technologies and vendors Plan and perform monthly inventory to make sure minimum levels are met and data is accurate Forecast future computer purchase needs and potential spend to create finance models based on what needs to be purchased for the next year Work with vendors, distributors, and manufacturers to keep current with hardware specifications, availability, and current trends in the supply channel Perform internal software audits to ensure software license compliance standards are met

What We're Looking For:

Minimum 5-7 years of recent experience with a strong understanding of IT Asset management lifecycle processes and tools Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred  Previous experience of implementing an asset management system and process for support team to follow Profound project management experience with small and large projects, in a cross-functional environment Strong trouble-shooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously; Ability to participate in resource planning processes based on defined organizational plans Excellent verbal/written communication, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority; must be able to prioritize, delegate and foster the development of high-performance teams to lead as well as support an environment driven by customer service and team work Proficient at establishing and maintaining effective vendor relationships Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to act independently with minimal direction from supervisor Exhibit proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial forecasting

We'll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:

Experience with JIRA Asset Management tool is a plus Industry Certifications such as, ITIL v4, IAITAM Certifications (for example, CHAMP, CSAM, or CITAM), or PMP

Work Hours:

This position will require you to be available during core business hours.

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.  

This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $143,860 to $179,820.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
