We do this while minimizing operational and financial impact. ABOUT THE ROLEThe IT Asset Manager handles daily and long-term strategic management of software and technology-related hardware. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software license and hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts. The individual will help in forming procurement strategies to optimize technology spending across the organization. The IT Asset Manager will also develop and implement procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles. Ensure IT Hardware, Software, Contracts are consistent and reliable, working with various teams across the organizationProvide KPI / Metric information and standardized reporting on a scheduled basis together with unscheduled reporting demanded by managementLeverage local business unit IT resources to perform asset management and supervise their performanceDesign processes relating to software and hardware asset management, execute and enhance themEstablish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration managementCollaborate with infrastructure teams to determine trends in asset performanceEstablish and maintain hardware and software maintenance databaseHelp control costs and budgets regarding IT hardware and software licenses Scope: Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance. Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees. Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies. Management reviews work to measure meeting of objectives. Complexity: Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. Discretion: Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will cause delays in schedules. Interaction: Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules. Supervision: Provides direct supervision to professional individual contributors and/or skilled, support individual contributors (e.g., technicians, designers, support personnel). Acts as advisor to unit or sub-units and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems. ABOUT YOUProven ability and experience in executing strategic asset management processes successfullyStrong knowledge of licensing agreements involving softwareStrong knowledge of IT Service Management processesStrong ability to carry out assigned tasks independently with little supervisionExcellent at performing multiple tasks at the same time without erringExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong vendor management and negotiation skillsGood understanding of the organization's business MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAny combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying. Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.  Licensure/Certifications: n/a           Experience: 2 years or more experience managing staff.
