Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative IT Assistant to join our team in Miri, Malaysia. As an IT Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's technology infrastructure and providing excellent customer service to end-users. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic IT environment and contribute to the smooth operation of our systems.
Provide first-level technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issuesAssist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and peripheralsTroubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems in a timely and efficient mannerCollaborate with the IT team to implement new technologies and improve existing systemsMaintain accurate records of IT assets and support ticketsAssist in the administration of user accounts and access permissionsConduct basic network troubleshooting and maintenance tasksProvide training and guidance to users on IT systems and software applicationsParticipate in IT projects and initiatives as assignedStay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practicesQualifications
Diploma or equivalent in Information Technology or related field preferredMinimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support roleStrong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking conceptsProficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systemsBasic understanding of network administration and IT security principlesExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong customer service orientation with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical usersExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishAbility to work flexibly and efficiently in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
