Job Description:

As a member of the Patching and Vulnerability team, and experienced Data engineer will develop and support solutions required by Patching and Vulnerability teams to meet the overall goal of the business and program supporting BAU processes and introducing net new data sources and pipelines.

The role will focus on collaborating with our business partners and developing the current codebase to support our internal business users and processes.

This role is part of a large program and will focus on collaborating with customers to enable team members more efficient execution of their tasks and provide reports based on data from Books of Records and related tools. It is central for discovering and enabling meaningful improvement directions and more efficient patching operations and will lead the organization in adopting increasingly advanced capabilities.

 

This role covers both Development and Support.Expert knowledge of Excel, Power BI and SQLKnowledge and understanding of enterprise grade reporting tools like Tableau is an assetExperience with enterprise and executive reportingKnowledge and understanding of IT operations and processes, including asset management and structureKnowledge of ServiceNow data structure and Performance Analytics is an assetKnowledge of information security fundamentals and governance is an assetGood presentation skills and ability to explain complex concepts in simple languageAbility to work with minimal supervision and only high level guidanceExperience with JIRA and ConfluenceContinuously enhance knowledge / expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technologies, emerging trends/developments and grow knowledge of the business, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools and techniquesCollaborate and interact directly with design, business and technology partners. Day-do-day work and deliverables

Developing of various patching and vulnerabilities reports utilizing various data sources, including and not limited to:CMDBOrchestration toolsPatching toolsOther asset management tools / asset registriesSupporting / assisting patching and vulnerability remediation teams in their day to day work

 

Requirements

Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate (Graduate degree preferred)3+ years of experience in developing and publishing technology related reports, including and not limited to asset and software asset management, technology currency, utilizing and correlating multiple data sourcesSQL scripting experiencePowerBI reporting and configurationFamiliarity with tools like JIRA and ConfluenceStrength in identifying potential data relationships and development of reports that will increase visibility into root causesStrong verbal and written communication skills are essentialSelf-motivated team player with high energy and ability to work independently as well as within a teamHands-on experience with various SDLC including waterfall, specially agileExperience working within a large-scale Financial Enterprise environmentInformation Security essentials knowledge - nice to have
