**About the Role**
For a fixed period of 12 months, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in bridging the gap between business needs and IT solutions. The successful candidate will possess a unique blend of strong technology skills, exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities and a deep understanding of business processes. You will be instrumental in driving successful IT projects and initiatives across the organization.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Identify, extract, analyse, and document business requirements: Gather and translate complex business needs into clear, concise, and actionable requirements for IT solutions. This includes conducting workshops, interviews, and surveys to understand business processes, identify pain points, and define success metrics.
+ Develop and maintain business process models: Create and document detailed process flows, data flows, and system interactions using industry-standard methodologies (e.g., BPMN, UML). Capturing As-Is and To-Be models and conducting gap analysis and recommendations.
+ Conduct data analysis and modelling: Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Develop data models and reports to support business decisions and improve operational efficiency.
+ Develop and manage project plans: Contribute to the development and execution of project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
+ Support solution design and development: Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and testers to ensure that IT solutions meet business requirements and are effectively implemented.
+ Business Relationship Management (BRM): Develop and maintain relationships with business stakeholders and champion the development of divisional business improvement plans.
+ Stakeholder management: Effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, business leaders, and IT teams. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
+ Continuous improvement: Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement in business processes and IT systems. Alignment with industry best practice frameworks such as ITIL, Prince2, Agile.
+ Project portfolio management: Experience working across multiple concurrent projects (programmes) within a virtual team environment, comprising project managers, solution architects, and engineers.
+ Change management: Develop and implement strategies to support step-change and continual improvements in operational efficiency.
+ M&A experience: Experience supporting IT due diligence, integration planning, and post-merger system rationalization.
**Requirements**
+ Strong IT technology skills: Proven experience with a range of IT technologies, including databases, applications, cloud computing, and networking.
+ Process Improvement Methodologies: such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen.
+ Business acumen: Deep understanding of business processes and data modelling. Good understanding of financial / budgeting principles.
+ Analytical and problem-solving skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
+ Data analysis and modelling skills: Proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools, such as SQL, Excel, and data visualisation platforms, e.g. Power BI, Tableau
+ Structured critical thinking: Ability to think critically and strategically, and to break down complex problems into manageable components.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
+ Stakeholder management: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
+ Project management experience: Experience working on and contributing to successful IT projects.
+ Methodologies and frameworks: Familiarity with industry-standard methodologies and frameworks, such as ITIL, IT4IT, Prince2, Agile
