Information Technology (IT) Business Analysts improve the Information Technology Department’s understanding of operational requirements and improve the ability to provide and show the value provided to patients and caregivers. As an IT Business Analyst, you will:  

Elicit information to analyze, document, and publish requirement.  

Assist with the evaluation and assessment of operational and business objectives and help to develop strategies to meet established goals.  

Conduct analysis of data to identify opportunities for performance improvement and strive to link performance outcomes to financial and business endeavors.  

Perform business analysis activities using a variety of techniques across diverse initiatives of varying scope.  

Assist in identifying the current state of processes, elicit attributes of them, and document models of the processes.  

Assist in identifying impacts and linkages to the business strategies, organization, and its people, data and systems, business policies and rules, and the physical assets of the business.  



The ideal future caregiver is someone who: 

Has a few years of business analysis experience.  

Possesses a strong desire to learn, contribute to the team, and advance their career.  

Has analytical skills.  

Pays close attention to detail with process improvement participation.

This is a hybrid role and may require your presence on site at varying locations depending on current assignments.

Job Responsibilities:

Assists more senior analysts, project managers, IT leaders, etc. to assess the impact of business process changes within people, systems, operations and management.Involved with and uses business process modeling, analysis and design tools.Performs well-defined tasks using own judgment to meet objectives with some supervision. Works with internal clients to analyze operational flows and recommend ways to reduce steps through use of technology.Analyzes operational and system flows.Develops and recommends actions for increased productivity and efficiency.Conducts interviews of clients during scoping and business case development.Other duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Management Engineering, Healthcare Operations or a related field is preferred.

Certifications:

Certifications from the International Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA) or the Business Relationship Management Institute (BRMI) preferred. Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, ITIL a plus.

Competencies (Complexity of Work):

Appreciates and can comprehend complex situations, yet only able to achieve autonomous results on small, less complex efforts. Generally views actions as a series of steps. Has the basic capability to evaluate alternatives to the processes and guidelines depending on the situation.

Work Experience:

Two years of analyst experience required. Operational, business process, continuous improvement and/or resource utilization experience in an information technology environment in the healthcare industry preferred.

Five years of related experience may offset the education requirement.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment. Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
