All applicants will be considered for both vacancies._** Join Minnesota Information Technology (MNIT) partnering with the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) as an IT Business Analyst, to implement DEED’s new Paid Family Leave Program. This posting will be used to hire two individuals: one for a Call Center and one for the Employer Product lines within Paid Leave, to help shape and develop this world-class system for the residents of Minnesota. As a mid-level Business Analyst, you will work in a fast-paced environment to document scope, requirements, and testing needs for a complex call center, and define employer needs and functions that determine eligibility, and process flows for Paid Leave applicants. You will conduct business analysis functions using a set of established tasks and techniques to act as a liaison among stakeholders, understand the structure, policies, and operations of the organization, and recommend solutions that enable projects to be successful and goals to be met. Typical tasks for each position will include requirements gathering sessions, documentation of business processes, software requirements, data management systems, and development of specifications for these technology initiatives. Experience must include: + Gathering and communicating business needs and functional requirements via the following: High Level Requirements, Business Process Models, UML Diagrams, Wireframes, Use Cases, and User Stories (with /Acceptance Criteria). + Working on a high functioning Agile team and working with Product Managers. + Eliciting and managing business requirements. + Working as a business analyst writing documentation and system specifications. + Collaborating as part of an Agile/Scrum team. + Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties. + Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.
