Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst/Requirements Engineer to join our team in Mumbai. The Business Analyst/Requirements Engineer supports the collection, analysis, specification, documentation, and continuous management of requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of Software and Agile processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs.Suggest and design technical and process solutions that fulfill business needs and objectives.Gather and document requirements (e.g., business requirements, stakeholder requirements, external interfaces, constraints, and other nonfunctional requirements) in a standardized format using the DOORS Requirements Management Tool, ensuring alignment with the Quality Management System.Facilitate the conversion of system requirements into Use Case specifications and refines high-level feature requirements into detailed functional requirements suitable for Developers and Verification testers.Engage in peer and design reviews of requirements documents.Identify risks and conducts interaction analysis for system components.Conduct end-to-end ad-hoc tests on the system.Participate in reviewing verification test scenarios to ensure requirements coverage.Share findings, recommendations, and project updates with stakeholdersParticipate in training on practices and tools where required.Required QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.4-year BE/BTech/BS degree in software/computer related discipline.SkillsAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Experience with business process modeling and documentation tools.Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.Preferred QualificationsCertification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).Experience working in the Medical Devices industry.Working knowledge of standard requirements elicitation tools and other software. (DOORS, JIRA, Windchill, and MS products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).Experience in Azure cloud is preferred.Experience in cybersecurity concepts is preferred.Demonstrate potential for technical proficiency, engineering creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought.Strong understanding of engineering principles and concepts.Knowledge of contemporary requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, and verification and the ability to apply them in practice.Ability to practice requirements engineering according to development life cycles in a team environment.Understanding of how requirements are traced.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and a head for problem-solving.Skilled at working in tandem with a team or unsupervised as required.Working ConditionsRequired to work at the Abbott India office location with an option to work from home one day a week.May need to travel to Abbott US location for training.
