The IT Business Engagement Manager - Culinary & Commercial supports and executes gategroup’s IT business strategy, serving as a vital IT contact, promoting services and delivering solutions aligned with function needs. Acts as a liaison between global and local functions and IT, facilitating technology strategy, solution discovery, service, risk, and relationship management.
This role collaborates with function leaders to identify projects and priorities, adhering to internal governance. They oversee the investment intake process and guide the planning and implementation of technology-driven business initiatives in their portfolio, ensuring adherence to global IT standards and enabling business objectives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Design Technology roadmaps for Culinary, Commercial at a global level and oversee their implementation.Support Culinary and Commercial roadmap development for cost analysis, prioritisation, and investment approval of Technology initiatives.Collaborate with global and regional management to develop annual IT budgets.Reinforce IT solution concepts and support business cases for new IT investments.Analyse Culinary and Commercial requirements and recommend solutions to meet needs.Develop recommendations from analysis to present to senior management.Serve as the key liaison between IT and Culinary and Commercial functions, managing third-party vendor relationships.Utilise broad technical and business knowledge to coordinate team members and resources.Create a shared vision for solutions, facilitating decision-making and trade-off arbitration.Identify and evaluate new solution opportunities for internal and external customer needs.Partner with key staff to create strategic business plans.Ensure solution compatibility with company standards by collaborating with architectural and operational teams.Manage business priorities and adapt IT functions to meet increasing demands.Understand IT's role in supporting business priorities and the realistic service levels given budgets.Act as an escalation point for critical IT service issues and balance service costs with business demands.Core Competencies and Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experienceMaster’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field preferredWork Experience:
10 years of IT and business/industry work experience.10 years of leadership experience10 years developing and executing strategic plans and/or project portfolios5 years experience directly managing Customer accounts or relationships5 years-experience at a business management level in a large scale culinary or catering businessTechnical / Language Skills:
Solid understanding of ITIL processesBroad (general) knowledge of the concepts, standards, technology, tools, procedures, hardware, software and services in use for delivering IT Services.Sound knowledge of applications and technologies used to support the main business processesKnowledge of the structure and processes within IT servicesExcellent English skills, any other major language preferred, but not requiredExposure to formal process design and improvement methodologies beneficialCore Competencies Required:
