We seek an IT Partner to join our team and support North America's Electrification and Automation (EA) group. As a Business IT Partner, you will align with the SI Electrification and Automation business to develop and implement digitalization solutions that support organizational goals and growth targets across our San Leandro and Livermore, CA locations.
In this role, you will become intimately familiar with the challenges and priorities of the assigned business units, providing strategic guidance and support in key functional areas, with a particular focus on IT and Cybersecurity within the end-user, manufacturing, and warehousing technology ecosystems. The IT Partner will work closely with the IT and Cybersecurity teams to implement solutions that ensure Siemens' security posture remains robust. You will stay informed on emerging cybersecurity threats and trends, proactively address risks and support the business's cybersecurity needs. This is an onsite role based in San Leandro, CA.
You’ll make an impact as you:
Assist in managing on-site servers, workstations, and factory computing equipment. Strong in networking fundamentals and security network architecture designs. Drive technical IT and security guidance Support the business on cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirement Plan, drive, and manage demands and projects from beginning to end; engage with business unit stakeholders, drive scoping sessions, document requirements/key decisions, navigate a large network of providers, and support the overall execution of these demands. Review application and infrastructure architecture decisions that relate to cybersecurity Align regularly with SI EA management, IT, and Cybersecurity organization Escalate major incidents to proper escalation paths, and manage incident through full closure, resolution, and root cause analysis report. Facilitate meetings with both internal and external IT provider organizations to ensure quality and timely delivery and support. Provide initial consultation on IT operational issues/opportunities, engage with the appropriate service providers, and ensure follow-up through closure of the issue. Maintain a flexible work schedule to coordinate support during non-standard hours. Keep BU management and employees informed on IT strategies, key priorities, initiatives, and projects. Engage, align, and share best practices with our global SI IT counterparts.You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher. 6+ years of experience working within a multi-IT service provider environment. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity. Proven experience in supporting and leading IT and cybersecurity-related projects and initiatives. Industry certifications such as CCNA, CISA, SSCP, CISSP. Hands-on experience with infrastructure solution design, implementation, and service management. A demonstrated track record of planning and managing large, complex technical projects with exceptional results. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executives. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity solutions, particularly in critical infrastructure and applications. A customer-centric mindset with a focus on satisfaction and service excellence. Prior experience in manufacturing or operational technology (OT) environments. Experience with Solid Works, PDM Autodesk, and similar tools.You’ll benefit from:
