Job Description A client in the San Diego, CA area is looking for an IT Strategic Sourcing Specialist/IT buyer to join their team. This person will be responsible for supporting procurement of IT hardware, software, and services and IT vendor and contract management. *This is an on-site position requiring 4 days/week in the La Jolla office. Can potentially be flex with remote for the RIGHT candidate *70% IT and 30% procurement -Strategically source and procure IT goods, services, and equipment, ensuring proactive engagement and alignment -procure a diverse range of complex IT hardware, software, and digital services essential for meeting contractual, sub-contractual, or internal organizational requirements -Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to align with their needs and priorities -Collaborate with the P2P and Supply Chain teams to achieve the teams overall vision, mission, and objectives. -Negotiate terms and conditions, resolve disputes, and ensure contractual compliance, while building and maintaining positive working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and effective communication at all levels of the organization. Skills and Requirements -4+ years of experience in Procurement -Experience in IT (network and infrastructure related technology - Audiovisual Conferencing, Physical & Data Security, Networking, Switching, and Wireless) -Experience in contract, negotiations, and managing spend categories and related workflows, processes, analyses (e.g., total cost of ownership), and risk assessments. -Bachelors degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience -Scientific research or higher education institutions preferred -Experience with Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and Uniform Guidance (UG) -software license and SAAS agreement terms and conditions -Procurement and ERP systems.
