The role will involve utilizing SAP BASIS technologies (SAP BASIS, SAP High-Performance Analytic Appliance, SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise, SAP MaxDB) to implement and operate SAP system landscapes. Responsibilities include designing, maintaining, and implementing of new SAP Basis or Security solutions, troubleshooting issues, and developing technical specifications. Additionally, the role requires working on agile projects and integrating new technologies of SAP Platforms or other SAAS solutions.
The purpose of the job is to work closely with the SAP Basis team to build, engineer, automate, and support Clariant's Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) SAP solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Responsibilities
Maintain and operate the standard Cloud Automation Framework (Infrastructure as Code) for SAP Cloud Computing Services. Develop and maintain the Cloud Automation Solution Roadmap for the SAP Cloud Computing Platform. Contribute to the design of new SAP services and define automation requirements. Manage service orders and projects by assessing new business requirements and ensuring alignment with IT standards. Collaborate with requestors and project managers while adhering to policies and improving processes. Provide appropriate service support for IT domains, IT subdomains, and end users. Monitor and optimize SAP Basis service processes, and actively propose continuous service improvements. Support applications and infrastructure teams by resolving incidents, identifying improvement opportunities, and developing technical specs. Support planning, designing, and implementing SAP Basis or Security solutions. Support effective and efficient service delivery in accordance with Service Level Agreements, Key Performance Indicators and Operational Level Agreements. Modernize, automate, refactor, and deploy SAP Basis services on Cloud Computing Platforms and for systems hosted in SAP RISE.
Requirements
At least a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Cloud Automation, DevOps, or SAP Basis practices. Demonstrated success in managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT cloud projects. Practical experience with version control and continuous integration tools, such as Git and GitLab. Expertise in infrastructure automation using DevOps scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Proven expertise in SAP Basis or Database administration and monitoring. Capable of planning project activities and coordinating team efforts. Ability to evaluate new cloud technologies for applicability and cost-effectiveness and provide recommendations. Experience in the harmonization, consolidation, and standardization of SAP Basis services and processes, and SAP RISE services. Strong skills in prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
