HOW IT CLOUD SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Work with a team of technical cloud computing professionals to rapidly build and deploy a demonstration capability, while simultaneously supporting the program office to specify, design and deploy the final system. Development will take place in an iterative fashion using scrum techniques with inputs from multiple stakeholders. The development team will rapidly grow into a large scale, enterprise development effort. Requires exceptional flexibility and technical skills. Work will be done in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and changing requirements.Participation in iterative software development teams with adherence to all reporting requirements Meeting with stakeholders, analyzing requirements, user stories, and related artifacts to determine technical specifications for the system environments Coordinating with technical teams responsible for the cloud hosting infrastructures in order to establish and maintain the environments used by the program for the development, test, and deployment of the demonstration capability and the final production systemBuild, migrate and test AWS cloud environments and integrationsDevelop templates or scripts to automate everyday developer or operations functionsBuild new automation to expand and maintain Cloud hostingMonitor and maintain multiple Cloud Infrastructure environments based on client requirementsIdentify new tools and processes to improve the Cloud platformsCollaborate with remote team members to build and maintain positive, productive team relationshipsDeveloping, testing, and monitoring connections to interfacing systems such as data feeds from numerous organizations and user interactions from other Sponsor organizationsWorking with other programs to coordinate the integration of enterprise services to be consumed/used by the Sponsor systemAs this program matures, this role may require occasional on-call after-hours supportDevelopment of technical documentation and briefing materials to support program status reviews, control gates, and other presentations as directed by program managementWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelors (Computer engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline)Required Experience: 8+ yrsRequired Technical Skills:Linux/Unix systems administrationCloud application (AWS/Azure) architectureAWS Cloud FormationLarge scale system integrationScripting to automate developer or operations functionsDeveloping enterprise and solution-level architectural designsJIRA, Confluence and other project management toolsExperience with Linux/Unix systems administrationReview and Maintain environments at the latest security postureEnvironment and Server layout and configuration maintenance to Industry standards and best practicesRemediate app/package installationsRapid prototyping to refine system requirements and technical specifications of the system and its operating environmentsExperience in developing enterprise and solution-level architectural designs.Knowledge of infrastructure as code design, management, and version control techniques.Exposure to project management skills and/or project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc.Knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.Strong communication and documentation skillsTechnical experience with large scale system integrationSecurity Clearance Level: TS/SCI with active polygraphLocation: Bethesda, MD - On Customer Site#OpportunityOwned
