The ideal IT Communications & Business Lead candidate is an experienced and highly qualified IT communications and experience leader to partner with CTO and IT leadership team in shaping IT communications, frictionless customer, and end-user experience across IT service portfolio. This is a key position in our CTO leadership team and accountable to develop and lead the function, collaborate across IT leadership in enabling technology, change management, and communications to deliver a frictionless, intuitive, and personalized experience in service of business success.

 

The leader acts as a conduit to provide internal and external communications for IT and supports an innovative information, change, and UX/CX experience framework. The leader is expected to conduct focus groups with business group users to identify friction points in IT service delivery, promotes and supports the use of appropriate channels and systems to facilitate the sharing of information around IT Services, and explores opportunities that can provide a frictionless experience for end-users of IT services. The leader collaborates with corporate communication and OCM teams and is responsible for developing and implementing effective and integrated communication and change management strategies for IT services, strengthen awareness, participation and information sharing across IT and the enterprise. S/he is also key in supporting and informing strategy and objectives of IT services ensuring IT teams are informed, motivated, and engaged.

 

The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

Partners with the CTO and senior IT leadership team in the development and execution of IT strategy and direction for the enterprise.Works with the CTO and business leadership and operational teams, providing broad insight and communication strategies to enable IT to be transparent and customer centric.Engages with teams to evolve culture and organizational behavior in elevating IT into a trusted strategic business partner while motivating, engaging, and creating a sense of belongingness.Conducts focus groups with user community across business groups to gather feedback on IT services including project, operational, and security enhancements. Articulates user feedback and unmet technology needs and requirements to be actioned by service delivery groups to deliver frictionless experience while continuing to strengthen operational rhythm.Create and document human centered design principles supporting business and operational requirements.Lead creation of standardized framework and principles for right documentation, ranging from sketch on a notepad to an annotated wireframe or communication guidelines for IT change initiatives.Partner with Training and Development to align organizational change management related to IT projects and/or change initiatives.Focus on people side of the change – including changes to business processes related to CTO organization, technology systems and services, that lead to faster adoption while increasing value creation and achievement of results and outcomes.Plays a key role in ensuring IT change initiatives meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing adoption and usage. This position requires:

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, psychology or related field, or equivalent work experience

Knowledge and Experience

10+ years of experience in leading communications and change management.5 years of leadership responsibilities in projects and/or people.Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams.A strong track record of leading behavioral and cultural change at enterprise level.Must be a leader who can influence stakeholders in written and oral communications.Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions in the organization.Ability to listen, build rapport, and credibility as a strategic partner vertically within the business unit or function, as well as with leadership and functional teams.Ability to attract, develop and retain talent, and build strong teams.Highly self-motivated and accepts ownership and accountability for success.
