Our client in the IT industry is seeking an IT Computer Operator to join their team. As an IT Computer Operator, you will be part of the Data Center team supporting the workflow of computer operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
**Job Title:** IT Computer Operator
**Location:** New Albany, OH
**Duration** : 6 month contract
**Hours:** Part-Time Saturday & Sunday (12 hour shifts)
**Pay Range:** $33/hr (Flexible)
**What's the Job?**
+ Operate, monitor and support IT infrastructure and Data Center environments.
+ Ensure the timely completion of all scheduled batch cycles and processes workload during the shift.
+ Contribute to a positive customer support experience and build rapport and trust with business partners and application teams.
+ Identify and resolve, in a timely fashion, issues that interrupt or adversely affect the normal workflow of system processing.
+ Control physical access to the facility and monitor the physical state of all aspects of the Data Center.
**What's Needed?**
+ 5 years’ experience as an operator in a data center environment.
+ Knowledge of service management software. ServiceNow experience is a plus.
+ Knowledge of workflow automation software. Control-M experience is a plus.
+ Knowledge of monitoring software. SolarWinds experience is a plus.
+ Experience with both mainframe and distributed systems operations.
